About Us
About Us
- Build Lasting Relationships with Voters: Regular engagement keeps voting top of mind, helping us create a relational bond that drives turnout and strengthens our impact. Your donation makes this ongoing outreach possible, ensuring voters hear from us before, during, and after major elections.
- Address Barriers and Ensure Access to the Polls: Many Democratic-leaning voters face real obstacles to voting, whether it’s lack of transportation, confusion about polling places, or feeling like their voice doesn’t matter. With your steady support, we’re there to provide the rides, information, and encouragement they need to get to the polls.
- Engage Voters on Key Issues Year-Round: From reproductive rights to climate action, we connect voters to the issues they care about most, showing them that their vote directly influences the policies that affect their lives. Consistent donations allow us to have these conversations, inspiring voters to make their voices heard in every election.
- Sustain Democratic Gains Beyond Major Election Cycles: Building turnout isn’t a one-time effort. Your continued support lets us engage for every election—big and small—ensuring Democratic values have a strong presence in local and state elections, runoffs, and national races alike.
Mission
Mission: At Rideshare2Vote Aware, our mission is to promote civic engagement and strengthen democracy by increasing voter participation, particularly among registered but non-voting citizens, with a specific focus on youth voters within their communities. We are dedicated to breaking down barriers and empowering individuals to exercise their right to vote, fostering an active and informed citizenry.
Vision
Vision: Our vision is to create a society where every eligible citizen, regardless of background or circumstances, is actively engaged in the democratic process. We envision a future where the ballot box becomes a powerful platform for community voices to be heard, and where every individual recognizes their role in shaping the collective future. By prioritizing civic engagement, especially among non-voting citizens and youth voters, we strive to build a healthy democracy rooted in inclusivity, fairness, and equal representation.
Through our work, we aim to inspire a sense of civic duty, encourage active participation, and foster a deep-rooted commitment to democracy among individuals and communities. Together, we can create a future where civic engagement is celebrated and democracy thrives.
Values
Civic Empowerment: We believe in empowering individuals to actively participate in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote, ensuring that their voices are heard and their votes count.

How we chose our motto: Create Proximity. Build Trust. Inspire Action.
Bryan Stevenson, the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative, says that proximity is necessary for hope and change to spread through a community. We start our training sessions teaching our interns about the need for proximity with marginalized communities which we try to create through communication and social networking.
However, R2V Aware understands that we cannot stop there. To bring real change to our communities, proximity is only the beginning. Once we are in contact with these communities, we must work to build relationships and gain trust. Candidates and well-meaning organizations often come into communities with good intentions but move too quickly from shaking hands to making a request. For long-term change to occur, we must be part of the community by building friendships that run deeper than one election cycle.
Once we are part of the community, we can then start to inspire action, asking people to vote and offering them rides to the polls.
While our ask might be simple and our methods quite plain, the journey is what makes R2V Aware extraordinary.
